Ashmolean Museum Redevelopment
The Ashmolean is Britain’s oldest public museum. An important part of its massive refurbishment and extension completed in October was the Education Department offices.

Rick Mather Architects specified Square One/Long linear fluorescent pendants including dimming and emergency lighting versions for these rooms. Aktiva completed the order on budget and on time coping with the unforeseen problems of the mainly 19th century building quickly and efficiently.

Halogen Spotlighting from Aktiva
Show halogen spotlight range has been a mainstay of Aktiva for over 20 years. Recently we have re-designed the shaded versions as shown.

Although LED spotlighting is rapidly improving for many applications halogen is still chosen on cost and effectiveness. 240v/Mains-powered halogen spots are now offered with a 4,000 hours average life lamp bringing this transformer–less mode of lighting very close to the longevity of 12v/low voltage lamps. However low voltage lighting still best meets professional interior and display lighting requirements.
